Responsibilities

Administrative

  1. School office and its proper running.
  2. Proper preparation and enforcement of timetable.
  3. School budget.
  4. Ensure adequate quantity and quality of school supplies.
  5. School plant (proper upkeep and sanitary arrangements).

Instructional

  1. Teaching 12 periods per week.
  2. Make frequent classroom visit.
  3. Meeting teachers and providing instructional advice.
  4. Provision of diversified curricular activities.
  5. Provision of creative curricular activities.

Towards Student

  1. Provide physical and health programmes.
  2. Ensure provision of a verity of curricular activities.
  3. Ensure provision of continuous evaluation and remedial help.

Towards State

Education Division

Class Teacher


  1. Responsible for the maintenance of discipline of the class.
  2. Maintenance of attendance registers.
  3. Approval of short leave.
  4. Take necessary actions against absentees.
  5. Collection of fees and depositing to the office.
  6. Compiling progress report card.
  7. Compiling required statistics of the class.
  8. Maintain cleanliness and arrangement of the classroom.
  9. Reinforcement of the announcement made in the assembly.
  10. Keeping them informed about the rules and regulations of the school.
  11. Provide feedbacks in regard to overall performance of the student to both the parents and students.
  12. Delegating necessary responsibilities to the students and provide help accordingly.
  13. Instil a sense of team spirit, cooperation, dignity of labour, etc.
  14. Build expectations according to their abilities and provide help accordingly.
  15. Respect the student’s feelings and attitude.
  16. Play a leadership role.
  17. Provide counselling whenever required.

Staff Secretary


  1. To collect agendas for meetings and record minutes.
  2. Notify the staff about any program or needs.
  3. Look into the welfare of the staff.
  4. To arrange for staff visit during rimdo, new born, sickness, etc.
  5. Liaison between the office and the staff as per need.
  6. Co-ordinate with all other committee.
  7. Prepare school time whenever necessary.
  8. Co-ordinate with other In charges.
  9. To monitor and evaluate the morning SUPW areas.

Admission Committee


  1. Set criteria for admission – keeping in line with the Division’s directives.
  2. Inform the suitable day/date for admission to the public through the school office.
  3. Request the presence of representatives from the SMB and health through the school office.
  4. Ensure that all the documents are presented during the admission.
  5. Verify the genuineness of the documents and the admission forms.
  6. Enter the names of the admitted students in the admission register of the school.
  7. Collect the fees, keep record and deposit to the school office.
  8. Inform class teacher about the admitted student(s).

Discipline Committee


  1. Frame the disciplinary rules in consultation with the Principal.
  2. In case of serious violation of the school rules, discuss and decide the consequences.
  3. Provide counselling whenever needed.
  4. Maintaining records of students’ offence and decision taken there-upon whenever necessary.
  5. Informing parents through the school office.
  6. Ask for the presence of the parent in the meeting in case of stern decision.

Examination Secretary


  1. Conduct Examination Committee Members meeting whenever required.
  2. Collection of question papers and cyclostyling.
  3. Ensure confidential typing and cyclostyling.
  4. Frame timetable and invigilation rosters.
  5. Arrange seating arrangements with the help of Examination Committee Members.
  6. Delegating different jobs to the members.

Examination Committee


  1. Collect the questions and type.
  2. Supervise printing and counting of the papers.
  3. Formation of the rules for the examination in consultation with the Principal.
  4. Decision making in case of violation of rules during examination and attendance.
  5. Help Examination Secretary in framing timetables and invigilation roster.
  6. Help Examination Secretary in keeping things ready for the day’s examination.
  7. Maintain Question Bank for all the subjects.
  8. Collect and compile the consolidated mark list for all the classes.
  9. Notify the duties for preparation of question papers as per the School Academic Plan.

SDF Committee


  1. Collection of fees and depositing in the bank.
  2. Making all the transaction happening in the school.
  3. To make the school meet the immediate expenditure.
  4. To ensure the proper usage of the SDF money.
  5. Maintaining the cash book/cash memos/receipts on expenditure made.
  6. Planning and budgeting the SDF into different heads.
  7. Purchase materials required by the school after obtaining an approval from the Principal.
  8. Make payment on time.
  9. Ensure that all items purchase is correctly entered in the stock register.
  10. Operate the SDF account.

School Disaster Management Committee


  1. To plan for the activities.
  2. To survey and identify the possible hazards in the school compound.
  3. To form the different teams with the team leader.
  4. To ensure awareness among students.
  5. To coordinate the activities.
  6. To mobilize and procure necessary resources.

SEN Team


  1. Frame action plans for the special education program in the beginning of each year.
  2. Work on the process of assessment and identification of students with special educational needs;
  3. Work with parents and teachers to ensure the interventions for the students with SEN are carried out.
  4. Review and evaluate the special educational programs at the end of each academic.

Club In charge


  1. List goals and objectives of the club.
  2. Prepare detailed Action Plan for activities.
  3. Requisite/collect material required.
  4. Maintain necessary records.
  5. Guide and motivate club members in learning new thing and  skills

House In charge


  1. The houses in charges are to look into the activities that the students need to participate in and beforehand have the students prepare.
  2. The co curricular activities that the students’ active involvement is required the concerned house masters need to have them ready.
  3. Guide and coach the participants for all the co-curricular activities.

Games In charge


  1. Inform the office and the students of the matches as per the school calendar.
  2. Drawing up of fixture of the game/tournaments.
  3. Participate and guide the students during the practices.
  4. Conduct the matches/tournaments.
  5. Keep records of house points in regard to games and sports activities.
  6. Inform the students about their performance.
  7. Maintaining sports goods register.
  8. Promote a sense of sportsmanship.
  9. Make student aware of the rules and regulations of various games and sport.
  10. Requisite the required games and sport materials at the end of every academic session.

Literary In charge


  1. Plan and organise various literary activities as per calendar.
  2. Appoint the judges to judge any literary competitions organised in the school in a fair manner.
  3. Maintain records of different literary activities.
  4. Announcement of the activities in advance to allow enough time for preparation.
  5. Collect the list of participants in advance.
  6. Ensure the equal opportunity for all students.
  7. Enter the points of the competitions in the house score register.
  8. Compile the result of the competitions and announce accordingly.
  9. Collect written materials (poems, story, letter, cartoon etc.) for the students and display in the form of wall magazine.

Vocational In charge


  1. Survey and identify any areas and properties of the school that need maintenance
  2. Submit the list of things that need maintenance to the office for procurement.
  3. Organise children for carrying out the maintenance work.

Health In Charge


  1. Requisite the required medicine.
  2. Administer first aid whenever necessary.
  3. Co-ordinates personnel visit for the hospital.
  4. Help in maintaining the cleanliness of the campus and personal hygiene of the students.
  5. Organising debate/speech/writing competitions on health issues.
  6. In case of serious problem, send them to the hospital with a friend or parent/guardian. The following out pass card is used to refer the patients to the hospital.

Scout Master


  1. Discuss and study the feasibility of starting school based scout unit with the staff, School Management Board (SMB) and senior students.
  2. Survey the number of interested students.
  3. Identify assistant scout master.
  4. Form a school level scout troops.
  5. Find suitable time for scout activities in the school timetable/school calendar and ensure that their scout fulfil the step by step requirement as per prescribed scout syllabus.
  6. Write to the Bhutan Scout Association for formal registration through the office of the Dzongkhags Scout Association after forming a troop (Principal will take this responsibility).
  7. Forward the list of outstanding scout through the DSA to the BSA annually for special recognition.
  8. Organise year round scout activities such as STD, HIV, AIDS, Drugs abuse prevention activities, Population Education etc.

Agriculture In Charge


  1. Take care of the Agriculture tools.
  2. Issue and collect them after use by the students and members.
  3. Requisite and supply the seeds.
  4. Collect the cash earned.
  5. Keep proper records of all the items related to Agriculture.
  6. Provide instructions and directions regarding the Agriculture work to enable the participants to learn how to grow essential vegetables.
  7. Motivate and instil the importance of gardening in the participants in promoting personal health.
  8. Make students aware of the nutritional value of fresh vegetables.
  9. Create interest and promote dignity of labour.

Furniture In Charge


  1. Keep record of furniture received and issued.
  2. Distribute and delegate responsibilities of the furniture to the concerned class teacher.
  3. Keep record of furniture in need of repair and inform the school office and the Vocational Club.
  4. Make annual requisition of furniture at the end of academic session in case furniture is insufficient.

Prayer In Charge


  1. Provide uniform prayer booklet to the students.
  2. Maintain discipline in the prayer hall..
  3. Check the attendance of the students.
  4. Ensure correct pronunciation of prayers.
  5. Explain the meaning and importance of different prayers to the students.

Store In Charge


  1. Keep records of the goods received and issued.
  2. Maintain the textbooks and stationeries properly.
  3. Issue the required text books and stationeries to the teachers/students after obtaining an approval from Principal.
  4. Requisite the required text books and stationeries referring to the QPGI and in consultation with the teachers and school office at the end of each academic year.

Librarian


  1. Classifying the books according to the different level of the grade.
  2. Lending books to the staff and students and get it back on time.
  3. Keep record of issue and receive of books.
  4. Making student aware of how to handle and take care of the books.
  5. Arrange the books in the library in user friendly manner.
  6. Keep proper records of the books available.
  7. Maintain periodical magazine/news paper register.
  8. Make sure that existing books are available to all students and teachers at any time.

Science Laboratory In Charge


  1. Arrange the equipments for easy access.
  2. Display of Scientific equipments and chemicals appropriately.
  3. Display of safety rules.
  4. Grouping of students of each class for conducting practical.
  5. Maintain the record of issuing Lab Equipments to the science teachers.
  6. Maintain cleanliness in the lab.
  7. Yearly requisition of perishable items for next academic session.

Telephone In Charge


  1. Receive telephone bills.
  2. Claim official bills.
  3. Make payment to the Telecom Office.
